My Why: Bill Nunnally

We're asking our local child welfare professionals to share what inspires them to do the work they do.

Bill Nunnally, former Chief of Quality & Performance, has over 20 years of experience in child welfare and shares, "My own childhood experience in the child welfare system brought me back to try and make things better for the next generations of children who will need advocacy and support from the system."

Bill shares one of his favorite success stories, "We were on the verge of filing a TPR (Termination of Parental Rights) petition on parents for 4 kids. I brought the parents into my office and had a heart to heart conversation about what it would mean for them and their children if this happened. Both parents subsequently got clean and reunified. The children never came back into care and the parents stayed in touch with updates for the rest of my career."

Thank you Bill for years of service!
