This is a management position responsible for overseeing and coordinating all financial operations within Heartland for Children. Develops and implements effective financial policies and controls. Ensure adequate risk management and insurance overage. Oversee accounting, cash management and financial analysis and reporting. Effective performance requires a high degree of independent judgment and ability to function under the established policies, procedures and practices with minimal supervision.

- Oversees daily operations of all financial functions; monitor budget and actual expenditures; coordinate activation of various systems required by Heartland for Children to conduct business
- Demonstrates a participatory management philosophy which embodies final accountability and decision making at the lowest appropriate level in an atmosphere of openness and integrity
- Continually works to streamline processes and procedures to develop consistent practices within sphere of influence
- Articulates and applies the team concept among staff, allowing employees to contribute to goals, agendas, discussion and decision making
- Models and enforces effective conflict resolution by encouraging open and free flowing communication while exercising clear lines of responsibility. Responds decisively and expeditiously to staff issues requiring immediate attention
- Responsible for developing a succession plan, which includes development, plans for staff and ensures a performance review program
- Manages and provides oversight of the facilities and Campus Coordinator at the Heartland Village
- Perform special projects as assigned

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field required. Requires a minimum of three to five years of professional experience in the related field & supervisory experience.

Masters degree and/or Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license preferred. Extensive experience in child welfare and/or child abuse prevention preferred.
