Celebrating the Ruiz Family’s Adoption Day!

Today, we celebrate the Ruiz family and their incredible journey to adopting three beautiful sisters! 

Janyda Ruiz shares: 
"We always knew adoption was the path we wanted to take, and when we found Heartland, we were beyond thrilled and ready to begin the journey. The case workers at Heartland were helpful and worked diligently to make sure we had all the information and completed all the steps needed to move forward. We prayed and committed ourselves to everything from classes to trauma-based training, preparing ourselves for what was to come.

When we first saw the photos of our three girls, we felt an immediate connection but still had some uncertainty because we were not sure if we were ready for 3 kids. But when we met them at the adoption picnic, we just knew—they were our girls. Without hesitation, we began the process to bring them home.

They are smart, beautiful, and resilient, and have filled our lives with so much joy, love, and happiness. Our girls are everything we prayed for and more. They have taught us so much, and all they wanted in return was a family and a home to call their own. From the very beginning, they just blended in with us, and to the point that if you didn’t know our story, you’d think they were biologically ours.  We are beyond grateful for them and the blessing they are in our lives."
