The Pierson Family
As it is #FosterCareMonth, we want to introduce you to just a few of our incredible foster families throughout Polk, Highlands and Hardee counties!
About 7 years ago, the Pierson Family began their fostering journey to give back to the community and help kids in need! They are actively advocating for their kids, positively impacting the system of care, mentoring and continuing to support the children and their families after they've been reunified!
We asked what is one of their favorite memories. Krystal shares, "One of my favorite memories is the case we have now. Seeing my [foster daughter] emotionally grow and be able to stand up for her feelings and be able to start expressing those feelings has been amazing to see."
If you're considering becoming a foster caregiver, Krystal wanted to share with you, "That it is hard work. That there are days where you will feel defeated. But there is amazing times as well. That you are changing the lives of the kids in your care. And to not give up."
